We interviewed the president of Ronnie Home Textile, Ken Doeing, asking him: What makes your company stand out from the rest? “Customer service is our most important objective,” said Doeing. “We specialize in knitted fabrics, but also make woven fabrics. We make both DTY (microfiber) and FDY polar fleece, poly poplin and can make other fabrics. Therefore, the quality and variety of our fabrics, manufactured in China and sold from both China and the USA, gives us a competitive advantage.”
“We are located in Keqiao Shaoxing Zhejiang, China, which is the textile capital in China,” continued Doeing. Unlike other Chinese factories, we also have an office and warehouse in the USA, which makes it much easier for buyers to trust us,” he added. “If there are any issues, I am in USA to solve them,” noted Doeing. “Furthermore, I’m an American and speak English, and my wife is Chinese and speaks both languages, so there is no language barrier.”
What is the company’s track record? “At Ronnie Home Textile Inc., we sell about 400 40-ft HQ containers of fabric each year of Polar Fleece fabric and Corral Fleece fabric. In 2011, we sold 102 containers in Los Angeles, CA” said Doeing.
What differentiates your company from its competitors? “We are an American corporation and also a Chinese corporation. Most of our competitors in China have only a factory in China. That means customers either have to do everything by email, or they need to fly to China and spend a week or more watching the containers being made and shipped. If there is a problem, they must pay for the product before it ships, and then fight to get their money back, sometimes with difficulty because of the language barrier. With our company, I am there throughout the entire process. I’m always a local call away during regular business hours and can help to solve any issues. You can also see the quality of my goods at our warehouse in Los Angeles, CA. We have over 200,000 yards of fabric in stock at our warehouse, so you could buy one roll or several containers right from our warehouse,” said Doeing.
Ronnie Home Textile Inc.’s main products are Polar Fleece fabric, Microfiber fabric and Corral Fleece fabric. They also specialize in poly poplin. Additionally, this company produces blankets or clothing (by container only) for other fabrics. They make blouses, shirts, pants and many other items.
What do you have in the way of new fabrics? “We are currently making a new kind of polar fleece which is more bright and shiny by using a different kind of yarn,” said Doeing. “We make two sides, brushed one side anti-pill polar fleece fabric, or 2 sides brushed only fabric, or one side brushed fabric. These materials are usually 58-60″ wide, but we also make them in other widths as per order. With coral fleece fabric we can make it from 60″ to about 94″ wide. Corral fleece is that fabric which is very soft with a long or short pile (like fake fur). We have soft to very soft (like the blankets called Korean style mink blankets). Poly poplin is 58-60″ wide and used for making uniforms and table cloths and chair covers for parties or weddings,” he added.
What makes customers come back to your company for repeat business? “We are very competitive with the market, and we always research the newest trends. We can make a customer’s designs with their colors or our own colors and our designs,” said Doeing.
Why do buyers purchase from you rather than your competitors? “Usually, it’s because of our prices. We are a direct manufacturer, and there is no middleman,” he replied.
Do you anticipate expanding your business? “Yes,” replied Doeing. “We are continually looking for new customers and creating new fabrics. We hope to open a bigger warehouse in the very near future,” he added.
